We have an entirely new product range coming soon - Beeplenish - natural beeswax based polishes and conditioners.
With products best suited for wooden furniture, leather, shoes and boots, and antiques and crafters, there are quality natural products that help you take care of things in your home.
As part of our launch of them, we will have a few small sample pots to give away in order to gain some local user feedback. If you have a UK address, and have a favourite table, chair, or other piece of furniture that could do with some replenishing care, then send us a quick email via the 'contact us' form on our website (www.newzealandhoneyshop.co.uk) with 'Beeplenish' in the subject, and we'll send out to the first few replies a free sample pot of the Beeplenish as soon as it arrives.
If you are into wood turning, then equally as good as one of the items works as a very good and non-toxic finisher for wood turning projects.

AMHA renames to the UMF Honey Association
The owner of the UMF® quality mark for Manuka honey has recently renamed itself to better reflect what distinguishes UMF® manuka honey.
It is now called the Unique Manuka Factor Honey Association (or UMF Honey Association). The original Active Manuka Honey Association (AMHA) name has been dropped as the word Active in relation to honey has been misleadingly used by some people and also the wider quality controls that are behind the UMF® standard.
Of course all honey actually has come activity due to its hydrogen peroxide content. Under the UMF® that hydrogen peroxide activity is not included, and the rating will only reflect the unique non-peroxide antibacterial properties that are referenced by the research. There are also additional quality controls around any adulteration of the honey, over-heating, misleading claims about the honey, and more.
Hence the change in name of the association to emphasise the UMF mark, and reflect the associations proactive role in protecting, researching and promoting the unique properties of New Zealand Manuka honey.
Rest assured, not just now, but since the beginning The New Zealand Honey Shop has only ever sold genuine UMF® Manuka honey.

Fish Oil in a Honey Shop

What is fish oil doing in a honey shop?
It may sound strange, but is now true. The New Zealand Honey Shop is now stocking fish oil. More specifically the new Omega-3 range of products from Comvita.
As many of our customers have become familiar with the quality of Comvita products through their leadership in UMF® and medical grade manuka honey, we figured it was appropriate to also offer to you this new Comvita Omega-3 range as the same quality philosophy is used.
A little note upfront, the Omega 3 products are actually made in the USA for Comvita - rather than being a purely New Zealand product.
What is great though is they have come up with product that enable getting your daily Omega requirements a delicious tasting experience. Rather than just fishy tasting oil is large capsules, they have used softgels that are much easier to swallow. Plus there are 3 products in the range that aren't capsules at all.
The Omega-3 Fusion product provide high quality, good dose levels of the two main Omega 3's - EPA and DHA. And they do it in a liquid formula that has great natural flavours (eg Lemon for Kids, Mango and Peach), and has the taste and texture of taking a smoothie. You can take these direct with a spoon, add to your juice or smoothie, or use a a topping on your cereal.
Makes getting your Omega-3 an easy and pleasant experience.
We have some of these new products in store and on our website to order now.
